Overview

ListingGuard is a Windows desktop application for Etsy sellers that helps monitor listing changes, customer interest, pricing activity, watched listings, and other shop signals. This policy explains the types of information used by ListingGuard and how that information may be handled.

Etsy authorization

ListingGuard connects to Etsy using Etsy’s authorization process. Your Etsy password remains with Etsy and should never be provided directly to ListingGuard. ListingGuard is designed to use read-only Etsy access for monitoring purposes and does not automatically edit your Etsy listings.

Depending on the Etsy data available through authorized access, ListingGuard may retrieve shop and listing information needed to provide monitoring features.

Local ListingGuard data

ListingGuard stores much of its monitoring data locally on your computer. This may include listing snapshots, change history, customer-interest information, watched listings, monitoring status, application preferences, and related app data needed to compare shop activity over time.

Service and licensing data

ListingGuard’s online services may process limited information needed for licensing, trials, device authorization, Etsy authorization, software updates, reviews, service protection, and related operations.

This may include identifiers associated with your Etsy shop, license status, trial status, authorized device identifiers, software version information, payment transaction identifiers, and technical information needed to operate or protect the service.

Payments

Payment processing is handled by Stripe or other supported payment providers. ListingGuard does not receive or store your complete payment card number. Payment providers process payment and transaction information under their own privacy practices.

Reviews and feedback

If you submit a ListingGuard review, feedback, or feature suggestion, ListingGuard may collect the information you provide, along with information used to verify that the associated Etsy shop has used ListingGuard.

Public reviews may display the public identity you select, your star rating, review text, and verification status. Private suggestions or feedback are not intended to be published as public reviews.

Security

Reasonable technical measures are used to limit exposure of authorization data, licensing credentials, and other sensitive service information. No computer system or online service can be guaranteed completely secure.

Disconnecting Etsy

You may disconnect ListingGuard from Etsy through the available account or authorization controls. Disconnecting prevents new Etsy data from being retrieved through that authorization, but locally saved ListingGuard data may remain on your computer until you remove it.

Data sales and advertising

ListingGuard does not sell personal information to advertisers.
