Read-only Etsy access
ListingGuard is designed as a monitoring tool. Your Etsy connection is read-only. ListingGuard reads the shop and listing information needed to provide monitoring, change detection, listing health, favorite tracking, Seller Insights, and related features.
Your Etsy password stays with Etsy
ListingGuard connects through Etsy's authorization process. You sign in and approve access through Etsy. Your Etsy password is not provided to ListingGuard and should never be entered into ListingGuard.
Local ListingGuard data
The desktop application stores listing snapshots, change history, monitoring information, preferences, and related app data locally on your computer so ListingGuard can compare your shop over time and show you what changed.
ListingGuard service data
Some limited information is processed by ListingGuard's online services when needed to operate features such as Etsy authorization, licensing, trials, device authorization, software updates, reviews, and service protection.
This may include identifiers such as your Etsy shop or account identifier, license and trial status, authorized device identifiers, payment transaction identifiers, and information required to verify ListingGuard users or operate the service.
Payments
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. ListingGuard does not receive or store your complete payment card number. Payment and transaction information may be processed by Stripe under its own security and privacy practices.
Reviews and feedback
If you submit a ListingGuard review, your Etsy shop name may be used to verify that the shop has used ListingGuard. Public reviews are moderated before publication. Optional private feedback is not published as part of your review.
What ListingGuard does not do
- ListingGuard does not ask for your Etsy password.
- ListingGuard does not automatically modify your Etsy listings.
- ListingGuard does not automatically change your prices or sale settings.
- ListingGuard does not automatically change your inventory.
- ListingGuard does not sell your personal information to advertisers.
Disconnecting Etsy
You can disconnect your Etsy shop from ListingGuard. You can also manage or revoke authorized application access through Etsy's own account controls.
Security practices
ListingGuard uses technical safeguards intended to limit unnecessary exposure of authorization credentials and service secrets. Access to backend services is limited to what is required to operate ListingGuard features. As with any software or online service, no system can be guaranteed completely secure.
